Take a drive along the coast to the west of Arniston/Waenhuiskrans and note the picturesque limestone cliffs set against the turquoise sea beyond. Soon you’ll come to the vast Waenhuiskrans Cave, largest coastal cave in Africa without a supporting pillar where access is only possible at low tide. Once inside the cave, examine the interesting rock pools with their intertidal marine life. And then, looking towards the mouth of the cave, you might imagine what it must be like inside when the high spring comes roaring in!
