Family Camping in the heart of Agulhas

Although it is approaching winter, any seasoned camper will have already earmarked a few likely campsites for the summer holidays, if not already booked. Agulhas is not just the scenic town at the southernmost tip of Africa, the area of Agulhas has its borders beginning in the heart of the Overberg close to Caledon (near turning towards Stanford), extending towards Riversonderend and seaward to Cape Infanta.

This region boasts a fine range of campsites ideal for spending more family time exploring Agulhas.

Vloetbos Camp Site

The closest to Cape Town, a mere couple of hours from the city, perfect for a quick getaway on a Friday after work for a lovely weekend camping. Bring the family and they will be entertained all day within the resort grounds. The superslides being the most popular.

Struisbaai Caravan Park

If you are after uncontested sea views, then you can't get closer to the ocean than Struisbaai Caravan Park. A fence is all that separates you from the beach. All amenities are a walking distance from the campsite, and the sea is family friendly with small waves and a very gentle sloping shore. Low tide is the best time to head down to the beach for some quality fun in the sun. For supper you can't go wrong with a freshly caught fish braai.

L’Agulhas Caravan Park

In the prime center of the quaint town of L’Agulhas, the caravan park is a wonderful place to get out a good book and let time slow down. The tidal pools are a short walk away for a quick cool down dip. Shops are conveniently close so there are no excuses for being unable to make time for relaxing.
