Klipfontein Keep

About Klipfontein Keep

KLIPFONTEIN KEEP is set on a working farm in the Overberg District close to the Southernmost tip of Africa. This beautifully restored, original thatch farmhouse provides all the comforts of city life - from free Wi-if, flat screen television, DSTV, dishwasher, washing machine, tumble drier and much more - in a quiet and tranquil setting with sheep, cattle and wildlife your nearest neighbours.

Situated between Bredasdorp and the captivating fishing village of Struisbaai and close to Agulhas, this self-catering " home" is the ideal stylish spot for solitude...to exhale, unwind, relax and recharge your batteries.

KLIPFONTEIN KEEP sleeps 10 in four beautifully appointed bedrooms, all with their own colour schemes and themes complete with local artworks, en-suite bathrooms and delightful finishing touches. Meals can be enjoyed either at the dining room table, in the kitchen, the indoor braai area or outdoors on the patio.  A delightful pool affords a welcome 'cool - off ' on sultry summer days. The thick walls and screeded concrete floors keep the house cool during summer, while the indoor fireplace warms it up and creates a charming ambience in winter.

With its location on a working farm, you may see the odd tractor drive past but otherwise uninterrupted views stretch across the farmland to the mountains. Crops include golden fields of canola, wheat and barley. There are also chickens, sheep and cattle on the farm, as well as Springbok, Bontebok ( indigenous to the area), Eland Kudu and Buffalo. Birdlife is plentiful,  as KLIPFONTEIN is home to the elusive HOTTENTOT BUTTONQUAIL. So binoculars are a must to pack...
