JD Bistro is situated in the Main Road of Napier and is a small family business, with youngest son, Marchand at the helm in the kitchen. The emphasis at the Bistro is in the freshness of the food and sourcing local ingredients. A kitchen garden has been established next to the kitchen with 12 bins filled with organic vegetables and herbs. The Mediterranean style food with bold flavours compliments the French style décor. A formal garden will be established this year with seating under stinkwood trees next to the fountain. Artisan breads are baked daily.
The Bistro is also home to the wines of JD Wines, made in Napier by eldest son, Jean-Pierre.
