The Drift Farm

About The Drift Farm

A Luxurious Overberg Getaway

The Drift Farm Homestead offers luxury self-catering accommodation on a small family farm, one-and-a-half hour’s drive east from Cape Town. Our farm Homestead can comfortably accommodate 12 people. There's also an option to turn our games room into a bunk-bedded dormitory, should you need to sleep more than twelve.

Location

Situated between Caledon and Napier, along the rugged slopes of the quartz-rich Akkedisberg Mountain range in the spectacular Overberg Highlands, the Drift Farm Homestead is cool and airy in summer and warm and snug in winter.

Two Wings & One Barn

The East Wing is the main living space and houses the kitchen, dining and living room, and two bedrooms, including the master bedroom. The West Wing has a further two large en-suite rooms and the small conference facility. A loft-style apartment with en-suite bedroom and kitchenette adjoin the games room in the converted barn.

The sense of peace the farm offers is echoed in the fully renovated soft luxurious dwelling. The homestead is our guest’s connection to the farm, a place where relaxation, ease, and comfort have shaped the interior design so the transition to the quiet majesty of the Overberg is effortless. The Drift is a family home and loves being filled with guests, it’s as if the homestead swells with a bit of pride when her rooms are full and the veranda hums with life.

As gentle as the atmosphere is, The Drift is still a working farm where a harmonious deal is struck between farmer and land, the former endeavouring to leave the land in better shape than it was found, the latter returning produce in abundance. It’s a good relationship most notably reflected in our exceptional wines.
